Hugh Jackman's karaoke with Pattinson

Hugh Jackman and Robert Pattinson did karaoke together in Japan.

'Real Steel' star Hugh revealed he asked the 'Twilight' star to join him and 'Australia' director Baz Luhrmann at a Japanese karaoke bar after they were on the same flight to the country and Hugh claims Robert has a great voice.

He told MTV News: "I actually did karaoke with Rob. That's random, isn't it? We were on our way to Japan, and he was promoting ['Twilight'] and I didn't talk to him at all on the flight, because he's this really tall guy with a hood over his head literally, and every time I'd go to the bathroom, I'd be like, 'Man, that guy takes some serious sleeping pills,' because this was him slumped over the whole time.

"He sang very well. I can't even remember what it was he was singing. Man, he's got a voice. Really soulful."

Although he was impressed with Robert's vocals, Hugh admitted the whole experience was a "little weird".

He explained: "The first thing you do is you get inside this room, the doors are closed, and there's, like, eight of you. So it feels a little weird. And then all of a sudden, they open, and they bring in these boxes, which are basically [full of] dress-up [clothes], and it's all girls' clothes. I was a schoolgirl, Baz got dressed up, and Rob did not. He was too cool for school."

Jessica Alba sues weight loss company for 1M

Jessica Alba is suing a weight loss company for over $1million in damages for allegedly using her likeness to promote their product.

The actress has taken legal action against the makers of Belly Bandit - an aid which is said to help women lose their post-pregnancy weight -for using her image without permission to boost sales of the product. Her legal team also claim the product's packaging carried her name stating it was "Jessica Alba's #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!"

The lawsuit also accuses the company of prominently featuring her name and photograph "under the Celebrity Testimonials section of their website".

Since legal action was taken Jessica's picture no longer appears on the web page where stars including Kourtney Kardashian and Minnie Driver give statements praising the product.

According to TMZ.com, the 30-year-old screen beauty - who has two daughters, three-year-old Honor Marie and two-month-old Haven Garner, with her husband Cash Warren - is also seeking a percentage of the company's profits as well as the damages.

Since giving birth to Haven, Jessica has revealed she has adhered to a regimented 45 minutes a day exercise regime and has calorie-controlled meals delivered to her home

She previously said: "I have a hard time with portion control, so I have 1,200 calorie meals delivered. But I also work out, so basically I'm starving-it sucks. I drink a lot of water ... I'm working out every day, even just for 45 minutes is good for my mental state. Getting dressed and actually doing it is the worst. It's hard to get motivated."

Jessica Simpson rumoured to be pregnant

Jessica Simpson is reportedly pregnant.

The singer-and-actress and her NFL player fiance Eric Johnson are said to be expecting their first child together and the blonde star is getting ready to announce the happy news after already telling some of her close friends and family.

A source close to Jessica told RadarOnline.com: "It's still early in the pregnancy, and Jessica has decided to wait before sharing her happiness with her fans. But she has begun telling family and friends the exciting news."

The 31-year-old beauty - who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey - previously sent back her glass of champagne when she celebrated Eric's 32nd birthday, leading to further speculation she has a child on the way.

He said: "I haven't heard anything. Is she pregnant? I better give them a call if she is!"

Jessica and Eric are thought to have recently postponed their wedding - which was due to take place in November - because she is unsure of how she wants her big day to play out, but Stephen is keen for the nuptials to take place.

He added: "I wish it would happen! It is just a matter of logistics. They have had so much to do."

Hungarian police seize weapons from Brad Pitt film

U.S. actor Brad Pitt, who stars as Oakland Athletics' general manager Billy Beane, arrives for the world premiere of the film "Moneyball" in Oakland, California September 19, 2011.[Photo/Agencies]

Hungarian police have seized a stockpile of weapons that was shipped to the Hungarian capital for the production of a film about zombies starring Brad Pitt, a film crew member said on Tuesday.

Weapons expert Bela Gajdos, who has worked on the filming of zombie movie "World War Z" to ensure the safe handling of the weapons used, told national news agency MTI that each firearm had been converted to restrict its use to blank ammunition.

Gajdos added that the weapons were completely harmless and had already been used on a shoot in London.

World War Z, a big-budget horror film directed by Marc Forster and slated for release in 2012, recently shifted filming to Hungary from Britain.

"We had a police permit to bring these guns into the country," Gajdos told MTI, adding that the production had contracted arms experts to establish whether the guns complied with Hungarian laws.

But the guns were seized before experts could inspect them.

Adam Goodman, the producer of the film, was not immediately available for comment.

Janos Hajdu, the chief of the Hungarian Anti-Terrorism Center on Monday said the agency seized a large stockpile of weapons, which arrived from England on a chartered plane. He could not confirm whether the weapons were intended for the World War Z shoot.

The National Bureau for Investigation, which took over the case, said in an emailed reply to Reuters questions that it was conducting an investigation for abuse of arms and ammunition, but would not release any further details.

The weapons included hand guns, machine guns, high-precision sniper rifles, hand grenades and a large quantity of high-caliber ammunition, according to photos and a video released by the Anti-Terrorism center.

According to the video, some weapons could be re-converted to use live ammunition by removing a single screw.

Hajdu said the firearms had not been properly disabled and could not be allowed into the country less than two weeks before a national holiday commemorating the 1956 uprising, MTI reported.

Taylor Swift named Billboard woman of the year

Singer Taylor Swift arrives at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles August 7, 2011.[Photo/Agencies]

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was named Billboard's woman of the year on Tuesday, becoming the youngest artist ever to receive the honor.

The 21-year-old country-pop crossover artist has won four Grammys and her five-time platinum selling album "Speak Now" has been one of 2011's biggest sellers in the United States. Eleven of the 14 tracks made their way onto the Billboard Hot 100 charts in a single week earlier this year.

Billboard editorial director Bill Werde said Swift's music and songwriting had transcended all genres of music.

"At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere. I look forward to watching her career continue to flourish in the years to come," Werde said.

Swift's 2008 album "Fearless" captured both the heartache and thrills of first love and remains the longest-running No.1 album by a female country artist in the history of the Billboard 200 album charts.

Her overall worldwide sales now exceed 20 million albums and 40 million song downloads, Billboard said.

Swift will be presented with the award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on December 2 in New York.taken from : China Daily

Julia Roberts scared to confess evil role to kids

Julia Roberts hasn't told her children she is playing the Evil Queen in the new Snow White movie.

The 43-year-old actress - who has seven-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and four-year-old son Henry with husband Danny Moder - revealed her kids were so scared of the Disney cartoon version of the story, they had nightmares so she can't bring herself to confess her role in the new movie.

She told Access Hollywood: "I haven't like spelled it out that I'm the Evil Queen. Because I showed them [Disney's] 'Snow White' and they had nightmares and they cried."

Julia loves working on the new film with Lily Collins and 'The Social Network' star Armie Hammer and says viewers will be especially thrilled with the movie's dwarfs.

She explained: "We don't have the classic dwarfs. Our dwarfs have different names and personalities than the fairytale."

Lily has previously claimed Julia gave her "goosebumps" because she is so convincing as the Evil Queen in the film.

She said: "She gave me goosebumps. She played the Evil Queen brilliantly. You forget that's really Julia because she's so good. Off camera, she's so down to earth and so sweet. We'd be shooting and she's being extremely horrible to me [in character] and once they yell cut, the first thing she says to me, 'Are you okay? I'm sorry, I hate being mean to you.'"

Leonardo Dicaprio dating two Australian models

Leonardo Dicaprio is reportedly dating two Australian models.

The 36-year-old actor was revealed last week to have started romancing Alyce Crawford after splitting from 'Gossip Girl' actress Blake Lively - who he had been in a relationship with for five months.

As well as seeing the 'Australia's Next Top Model' contestant, it has now been claimed Leonardo is also working his charms on 20-year-old catwalk beauty Kendal Schuler - who recently separated from Australian 'Celebrity Apprentice' contestant Didier Cohen.

A friend told Australia's The Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "Leo has told her she can visit any time she likes as long as she keeps it low key. She has taken him up on that opportunity already a couple of times.

"But she isn't silly - she knows this isn't serious and she is just enjoying the time with him."

The renowned Hollywood lothario - who is currently in Sydney shooting Baz Luhrmann's interpretation of 'The Great Gatsby' - is believed to have first met Kendal in Los Angeles and met her again recently when they ran into each other at Sydney nightclub Beach Haus.

The friend added: "They have been in contact since he got here and she has seen him three or four times. He has told her to be very discreet."

Leonardo has been dating Alyce, 21, for a couple of weeks and has been seeing her during on weekdays after shooting on his new project has wrapped.

A source said: "He texts her when he wants to see her and they hook up a few times a week. They've mostly been meeting up during the week. He does other things on weekends.

"She's been going to his hotel to visit but he is too smart to be seen with her in public."

‘Real Steel’ Is Weekend’s No. 1 Movie, Beating Clooney’s ‘Ides of March’

By Michael White and Alex Nussbaum - Oct 10, 2011 2:55 AM GMT+0700

“Real Steel,” the action tale featuring boxing robots, was the top film at U.S. and Canadian theaters, generating $27.3 million in ticket sales for Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks SKG and Walt Disney Co. (DIS)

“Dolphin Tale,” last weekend’s leader, dropped to third place with $9.16 million, researcher Hollywood.com Box-Office said today in an e-mailed statement. The weekend’s other new release, the political thriller “The Ides of March,” was second with $10.4 million.

“Real Steel,” inspired by Richard Matheson’s short story, stars Hugh Jackman as an absentee father who trains robots for the ring. The visual effects-laden film, with Spielberg as executive producer, had the third-biggest opening ever for a Columbus Day weekend movie, said Gitesh Pandya, chief executive officer at movie-tracker BoxOfficeGuru.com.

“Breaking $25 million in October is something you don’t see too often,” Pandya said in a telephone interview. “There hasn’t been a big action movie since the summer, and I think action audiences have been craving something like this.”

The film, in which Jackman plays a trainer who buys an outdated boxing robot, is a good sign for DreamWorks, which had disappointing results with movies earlier this year, Pandya said. It rebounded recently with “The Help,” a civil rights- era drama that’s taken in $163 million, he said.

Matheson’s Legend

“Real Steel,” which stars Dakota Goyo as Jackman’s son, is one of several Matheson works to be adapted to the screen. Others include the novel “I Am Legend,” which became the basis for the 2007 Will Smith thriller.

“Ides of March” features Ryan Gosling as the idealistic press secretary to a governor, played by George Clooney, who aspires to be president. Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Evan Rachel Wood co-star.

The film, distributed by Sony Corp. (6758), has garnered talk of possible Oscar nominations, giving it a chance for sustained sales, Pandya said. Clooney’s pictures typically take in $10 million to $15 million in their first weekends and have to contend with the star’s high-profile liberal politics, Pandya said.

“There are many people in America who do not want to see his films and a lot of people who love him,” he said. “It is an older-skewing film and the reviews have been good, so I think it should have some good legs ahead of it.”

‘Dolphin Tale’

“Dolphin Tale,” which placed third, stars Harry Connick Jr. and Morgan Freeman. The picture is based on the true story of a dolphin whose tail was amputated because of infection after becoming entangled in a crab trap. The movie has taken in $49.1 million since its release.

Sony’s “Moneyball,” the baseball movie starring Brad Pitt, came in fourth, with $7.5 million in sales.

“50/50,” the Summit Entertainment LLC film about a young man who has cancer, was fifth with $5.5 million in its second weekend. In the movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character confides to a friend, played by Seth Rogen, that he has been diagnosed with the disease. Anna Kendrick co-stars as a therapist who tries to help the patient cope with his situation.

Weekend revenue for the top 12 films climbed 3.7 percent to $84.4 million from the year-earlier period, Hollywood.com said. Domestic box-office receipts this year have declined 3.36 percent to $8.11 billion. Attendance is down 5.4 percent.

Justin Bieber stays in luxury hotel

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are staying in a $2,300-a-night suite in Brazil.

The teenage couple are reportedly based in a luxury penthouse suite in Rio de Janeiro while the 'Baby' hitmaker plays a string of South American concert dates, and their room boasts two marble bathrooms, king-sized bed and luxury French fabrics.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Justin and Selena are staying at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, which is considered to be the most exclusive hotel in Rio. They are staying in a penthouse suite which includes one bedroom with a king-sized bed, a living room, a mini bar and two marble bathrooms with a separate bathtub and shower.

"The suite is decorated with exquisite works of art, exotic carpets and French fabrics. The penthouse suite costs about $2,900 a night!"

In addition to the luxury fittings inside the room, the pair are able to enjoy beautiful views on their private terrace.

The source said: "Their suite has a private terrace and overlooks the Copacabana beach. It's gorgeous and extremely elegant. Stevie Wonder stayed in the exact same suite just a few days ago.

"The penthouse floor is on the sixth level, which also has a private swimming pool area with a wet bar."

Though the insider couldn't confirm exactly how long Justin, 17, and his 19-year-old girlfriend will be staying at the hotel, they could say it would be for "at least three nights" and they have already been making the most of the facilities the hotel has to offer.

The source said: "Both Justin and Selena have visited the Spa which has been named one of the best spas in Rio de Janeiro. They both seem a little tired - maybe from the long flight - but they are both very polite and friendly and seem happy to be together. It is very romantic here in Rio!"

'Twilight' actress dates Spider-Man

Ashley Greene is reportedly dating 'Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark' star Reeve Carney.

The 'Twilight' actress and Reeve were spotted on New York's subway together earlier this week and insiders revealed Reeve - who recently split from with co-star Jennifer Damiano - is already so serious about Ashley he has introduced her to his mother.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Reeve's relationship with Jennifer fizzled out, and he is now dating Ashley Greene.

L.A. Extension

David Beckham will probably reject an 18-month contract with Paris Saint-Germain worth 4 million pounds ($6.2 million) after deciding to stay in Los Angeles, the Sun said.

The Los Angeles Galaxy offered the former England captain a one-year extension to his contract, which ends in December, the newspaper said. Beckham, who wants to make sure his children have a stable upbringing, will make a decision after the Major League Soccer playoffs, the Sun said.

Beckham has also attracted interest from Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers, and teams in Brazil and the Middle East, the newspaper said.

Jobs’s Death Leaves Hollywood Without Tech Envoy

On Jan. 30, 2004, Jobs announced Pixar was looking elsewhere. In nine years, the partnership had produced some of Disney’s top-grossing pictures, such as “Finding Nemo.” Source: PRNewsFoto/ via Bloomberg

By Michael White, Ronald Grover and Andy Fixmer - Oct 7, 2011 1:30 PM GMT+0700

Steve Jobs’s death leaves Hollywood without the trusted technology envoy who helped push the film, TV and music industries into the digital age.

In the 25 years after he bought George Lucas’s digital animation business and renamed it Pixar, Jobs charmed, angered and cajoled Hollywood executives as he pursued his vision for digital entertainment. He clashed with former Walt Disney Co. (DIS) Chief Executive Officer Michael Eisner over their movie partnership, while befriending Eisner’s successor, Robert Iger.

Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s co-founder relentlessly challenged the industry to change -- ushering in the age of digital animation with “Toy Story,” upending the record labels with the iPod and the iTunes store, and by negotiating to sell TV shows and films online. Disney’s ABC was the first to sign on.

“Steve and I were talking for months about delivering TV shows on iTunes, which is when he shows me the video iPod, and I said, ‘We’re in!’” Iger said in e-mail. “Movies were next, a year later. It was about what we wanted to do and what we felt was right for our business.”

With the 2006 sale of Pixar, Jobs became Burbank, California-based Disney’s biggest investor, with a stake worth $4.35 billion.

Hollywood executives resisted putting shows online. Piracy had devastated the music industry and iTunes’ dominance of online music retailing gave Cupertino, California-based Apple unprecedented influence over the record labels.

‘Getting It’

Jobs was determined to get the studios on board, said Jim Gianopulos, co-chairman of News Corp. (NWSA)’s Fox Filmed Entertainment.

“He’d call up and say, ‘We’ve got to do this, this is the way to do it, and you guys aren’t getting it,’” Gianopulos said in an interview. “We would banter back and forth, but we always found ways to work together. To his great credit, he would see an aspect of the film side, the media side, that he hadn’t considered, and he would call back the next day and he would have figured out how to work that problem.”

Today, iTunes is the top seller of online movies, with 66 percent of the market for electronic sales and Web video-on- demand, researcher IHS said in August. Its share of U.S. music retailing was 70 percent last year, according to NPD.

“Steve understood that the only way to compete with piracy was to create a system that by its very nature is more convenient for consumers,” said Paul Vidich, a Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) executive who negotiated the first record-label agreement with Apple.

‘Rocket Ship’

Diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer in 2003, Jobs died Oct. 5 at age 56. Gianopulos said his discussions with Jobs over film rights evolved into a personal friendship.

“He would come into the meeting and say, ‘Hey, you want to see something cool?’ And he would reach into his jacket and pull out the first prototype of the iPhone,” Gianopulos said. “It was like someone had shown you the first rocket ship.”

Disney, the pioneer in animation and theme parks, became a lab for Jobs. The studio served as distributor of Pixar movies starting in 1995. Later, after Jobs sold the animation studio to Disney for $8.06 billion in stock, the company became an Internet trailblazer as well -- becoming the first of its peers to offer films and TV shows on iTunes.

Today former Pixar CEO Ed Catmull oversees all of Disney’s animation. John Lasseter, Pixar’s creative leader, holds a similar post at Disney with roles in films and theme parks.

Clash With Eisner

Relations with Disney almost foundered in 2003 in a dispute with Eisner over an extension of the Pixar deal, and on Jan. 30, 2004, Jobs announced Pixar was looking elsewhere. In nine years, the partnership had produced some of Disney’s top-grossing pictures, such as “Finding Nemo.”

By that time, Eisner’s position at Disney was shaky. His pay and flagging stock angered institutional investors and Roy Disney, nephew of founder Walt and an influential shareholder. Iger was named to succeed Eisner in March 2005 and the first call was with Jobs.

“He wished me well and hoped we could work together soon,” Iger said in a 2005 interview with Businessweek. In October, within two weeks of taking over, Iger agreed to sell episodes of TV shows from Disney’s ABC network on iTunes for $1.99 each. Three months later, he clinched the deal for Pixar.

Pixar’s 12 movies have generated $5.73 billion in worldwide box office sales for Disney and theater operators, according to Box Office Mojo, a movie-tracking service. They’ve become theme- park attractions and a “Cars” land will open at Disney’s California Adventure next year.

‘Pretty Simple’

The entertainment industry is still grappling with how to prosper in the digital world Jobs helped create.

In August, after a year-long experiment, Apple ended its 99-cent rentals of TV episodes from Fox and ABC. CBS Corp. (CBS), owner of the most-watched U.S. TV network, and NBC didn’t participate because the price was too low.

After first caving in to Jobs’s demands that all songs sell for 99 cents, the music industry last year won more control over pricing on iTunes, pushing through a 30-cent increase in the price of some tracks.

Music executives credit Jobs with saving the industry from Internet piracy.

“The guy had been doing serious thinking while we were all batting our heads against a wall,” Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, said in a 2004 interview. “He was going to provide us with that great interface and we were going to give him unique content that you couldn’t get anywhere else. It was pretty simple, really.”

The 48-year-old-actor - who earned an estimated $300 million for his role in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies thanks to a profit-based pay deal - is happy to accept the huge deals for the sake of his two children, Lily-Rose, 11, and nine-year-old Jack, even though he thinks the offers are "ridiculous".

He said: "Basically, if they're going to pay me the stupid money right now, I'm going to take it. I have to. I mean, it's not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it's for my kids. It's ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It's for the kids."

However, the actor - who is in a long-term relationship with singer-and-actress Vanessa Paradis - admitted he has other motivations for continuing to act.

He added: "There is also a part of me that needs to have this kind of stimulation to the brain."

The notoriously private star also spoke of his hatred of having his picture taken, comparing it to "being raped" and admitting he finds having to pose for portraits "dumb".

He told the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine: "Well, you just feel like you're being raped somehow. Raped ... It feels like a kind of weird - just weird, man. Whenever you have a photoshoot or something like that, it's like - you just feel dumb. It's just so stupid."

Leonardo DiCaprio splits from Blake

Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively have split up.

The 'Inception' star had been dating the 'Gossip Girl' actress since May and although they have decided to part ways, representatives for both told UsMagazine.com they will "remain friends".

Despite refusing to confirm their relationship in the five months they were dating, Leonardo, 35, and Blake, 24, were spotted on a string of dates throughout the summer including trips on a yacht in Disneyland, California, and a water taxi in Venice, Italy.

Leonardo also treated Blake to a helicopter ride to Saint-Paul de Vence, France for a $500 lunch at La Colombe d'Or Restaurant, a stay at the $5,000-a-night suite at Hotel de Paris and a trip on a $52 million yacht.

Blake even flew to Sydney, Australia in August to celebrate her birthday with the actor, who is shooting his new movie 'The Great Gatsby' in the city.

The couple enjoyed a meal at exclusive restaurant Aria and were seated at one of the eatery's best tables which boasts a panoramic view of Sydney Harbour.

A source said: "[Blake] looked gorgeous and they looked very much like a couple. They seemed to be having a really nice time and were definitely enjoying the view."

However, Blake spent last weekend in Boston where she enjoyed a romantic meal with 'Green Lantern' co-star Ryan Reynolds at sushi palace O Ya in the Leather District, the Boston Herald reported.

UK studio tour aims to conjure Harry Potter magic

Cast members of the film ''Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'' post for photographs at the Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire. [Photo/Agencies]

Wave a wand and a ladle across the room turns in a cauldron. Move your hand and a knife starts to chop.

Warner Brothers aims to recreate the magic of the Harry Potter movies with a major tour at its newly renovated Leavesden Studios on the outskirts of London, with the attraction due to open next spring.

The Hollywood studio behind the record-breaking franchise has relocated the original Great Hall at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and visitors will be treated to a surprise entrance into the towering set.

There they can admire the attention to detail in which the production crews on the eight movies took great pride -- from the elaborate "stonework" of the outer walls to graffiti carved into wooden tables by students.

There will be no floating candles -- that particular piece of magic was conjured by computers, but many of the characters, props, costumes and settings were real-life.

Among the highlights will be the giant spider Aragog suspended from the ceiling, and fans will be able to pose for photographs in one of the "flying" Ford Anglia cars used in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."

The sharp-toothed "The Monster Book of Monsters" has been dusted off, and Buckbeak the "Hippogriff" is getting a meticulous makeover for when the doors of the attraction open.

The studios and neighboring tour space are currently little more than a giant building site, with only a few of the main attractions in place including the shell of the great hall.

Journalists were shown around the site recently as Warner cranked up the publicity ahead of tickets for "Warner Bros. Studio Tour London -- The Making of Harry Potter" going on sale on October 13.

They will cost 21 pounds per child, 28 pounds per adult and 83 pounds for a family of four, and up to 5,000 visitors are expected to be able to take the three-hour tour each day. Tickets must be ordered in advance.

The venture underlines how the Potter phenomenon looks set to go on generating revenue long after the July release of the eighth and final film.

Author J.K. Rowling has also launched the Pottermore website which will allow people to navigate the Potter world and shop for merchandise including, for the first time, e-book versions of the adventures.

A posting on the website said the Pottermore Shop would not open until the first half of 2012, later than expected.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES INSIGHT

John Richardson, who won an Oscar for his work on the 1986 movie "Aliens" and was special effects supervisor on the Potter films, demonstrated the wand and hand "tricks" and a number of other devices he developed.

"There are so many kids and so many adults who have grown up with Harry Potter, it's an opportunity for them to be close to all things Harry Potter and at the same time give the public the chance to see what goes into making a movie," he told Reuters.

While famous sets like the Great Hall, Dumbledore's office, the Gryffindor common room and Potter's cupboard under the stairs are being rebuilt, the outer shells will be kept as they were during filming -- scaffold, wood and plaster.

And despite stressing the craftsmanship that went into making the sets, props and costumes for the movies, there will be an area demonstrating the possibilities of green screen technology.

Outside the cavernous warehouse will be a reconstruction of 4 Privet Drive where Harry grew up and of the bridge at Hogwarts.

Visitors will enter the site via a small cinema where they will see a short film about the facility before moving on to the main attractions.

Those tempted to walk off with the cutlery or crockery from the dining tables in the Great Hall beware. As if by magic, weight sensors will trigger an alarm.
