Sandra Bullock's son given 14k art gift

Sandra Bullock's agents have bought a $14,000 painting for her son.

The 47-year-old actress - who adopted 21-month-old Louis in January 2010 - jokingly praised Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd for not being "cheap f***s" with their generous gift, acclaimed pop artist Andy Warhol's first work 'Peaches'.

Speaking at the Los Angeles amfAR Inspiration Gala at the Chateau Marmont hotel where the work was auctioned last night (27.10.11), Sandra said: "I want to thank Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd for not being cheap f***s and gifting my son with his first Warhol."

Sandra attended the gala to pay tribute to late actress Dame Elizabeth Taylor, who helped found amfAR - an AIDS charity - in 1985.

Speaking about the screen legend, who died at the age of 79 in March, Sandra said: "Earlier this year, the world lost a radiant woman of courage and compassion. She lives on in every person she touched.

"She never thought twice to put her arm around someone who was suffering, and that is the gift we have a human beings, the ability to reach out and touch another human being. Tonight we can honor this extraordinary woman and finish what she started."

Other guests at the event included actor Colin Farrell and actresses Selma Blair and Rose McGowan, while performers included Blondie's Debbie Harry and Irish singer Sinead O'Connor.

Justin Bieber wants to be like Beckham

Justin Bieber wants to have hair like David Beckham.

The 'Baby' hitmaker - who cut off his longer locks earlier this year - is inspired by the British soccer ace to make sure he keeps changing his look and never stays the same for too long.

He said: "I'm just trying to be like Beckham. Beckham changes his hair all the time. People didn't even notice when he switched his hair up because he switched it up so much."

Although the Canadian-born singer is one of the biggest stars in the world right now, he admits he has little time to chill out at his own pad because he continues to rent a house, and despite his love of cars he wants to make sure he has a home first.

He admitted to 2Day FM's 'Kyle and Jackie O Show': "I have a Range Rover. I haven't gone out and bought a bunch of cars yet. I am into cars, but I want to get a house before I get cars.

"I don't really have a home. I'm renting, but I don't have a place I call home yet."

Justin and his girlfriend have struck up a friendship with David and his wife Victoria Beckham and the pair were recently invited to lunch with the couple and their four children, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine, six-year-old Cruz, and three-month-old Harper.

Justin revealed: "I have met David more than once, but I haven't met Victoria properly yet. They seem a really cool family, and I would like to spend more time with them in the future for sure . They have invited us [me and Selena] out for lunch."

A source close to the 'Hung Up' hitmaker - who recently took a break from music to direct new movie 'W.E' - told The Sun newspaper: "Madonna is planning a huge comeback and was determined to do it at Hyde Park while the Olympics are on.

"She's been out of the limelight musically for a while but is ready to jump back into the saddle and thinks there's no better time to do it than when London hosts the Olympics."

Earlier this week, it was also revealed Madonna is to perform at next February's Super Bowl, where she will headline the annual NFL match after beating off competition from Lady Gaga.

A source said: "When Madonna heard Gaga was in the frame, she knew she had to step up her efforts. She is going to deliver the kind of show never seen before in NFL history."

Beckham's unexpected move into fashion

David Beckham never expected to get involved in fashion.

The soccer star - who has four children with wife Victoria Beckham - is pleased he is asked to work on ventures such as Adidas Originals though he admits it is an unexpected turn in his career.

He said: "It's something I've become interested in over the last five years. My career has been solely about playing and always will be until I stop but I'm lucky enough to have sponsors like Adidas and other things I've ventured into with the fashion side.

"It's something that had you said 10 years ago I'd be involved in the fashion side, I'd have said 'No chance' but now I enjoy it, it's something I'm passionate about, when you see the product and it's as good as it is, you get excited about it."

David works alongside designer James Bond for his Adidas originals range and not only is he incredibly proud of what they have achieved to date, he is looking forward to continuing to create "great stuff".

He added on a video posted on website hypebeast: "We've been doing it for a couple of years, me and James now, I've known him a lot longer than that and the collaboration has been so successful in the interest we've had, the sales we've had and the product. It's the best I've ever seen sportswise and lifestyle - you can train in the stuff and work out in it and go out in the evening, people love it. We've a good relationship and we're going to continue to have a great relationship but most importantly we're going to continue to bring great stuff out."

Justin Bieber stopped by police

Justin Bieber was pulled over by police in Los Angeles this week.

The 'Baby' hitmaker was driving in his 'Batman'-customised Cadillac in the city - flanked by a Range Rover and a Rolls Royce - when he cut off an officer and was asked to stop driving, gossip website TMZ reports.

However, 17-year-old Justin was let off with a warning by the cops and he was allowed to carry on his way in his car, which is emblazoned with Batman symbols and has the word Batmobile scrawled on the back.

It also has custom-made 'JB' logo on the side panels.

The incident is the latest in a long-string of problems Canadian-born Justin has had with his automobiles.

In August he was involved in a minor crash with a Honda Civic in Los Angeles while driving his Ferrari, and he was pulled over by undercover police earlier in the year while driving Sean Kingston's Rolls Royce because they thought he was too young.

A source said at the time: "An undercover police officer was driving behind Justin and [his passenger] Sean Kingston. He pulled them over in front of the restaurant on Ocean Drive because he thought it was strange that this young kid was driving a brand new convertible Rolls-Royce."

Jennifer Lopez discovers secret to love

Jennifer Lopez insists "you've got to love yourself first" before you can have a successful relationship.

The singer-and-actress - who split from husband Marc Anthony in July after seven years of marriage - claims she has finally learned the secret to what makes love last after decades of romantic experience.

She told Glamour magazine: "I think I've finally learned the biggest lesson of all. You've got to love yourself first. You've got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You've got to value yourself and know that you're worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can't really have a healthy relationship."

Jennifer - who has three-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc - also revealed she plans to embark on any new relationship away from the glare of the spotlight.

The 42-year-old Latina beauty - who is rumoured to be dating actor Bradley Cooper after being spotted with him on several occasions -added: "I think to give something a chance, to really get to know somebody, you want to do it out of the public eye."

As well as her marriage to Marc, the 'I'm Into You' singer has been married twice before to waiter Ojani Noa - who she was wed to from February 1997 to January 1998 - and former backing dancer Cris Judd, who she tied the knot with in September 2001 and split from in June 2002 before their divorce was finalised in January 2003.

Jennifer - who broke down on stage last weekend while discussing the nature of love - has also had high-profile relationships with rapper P. Diddy and actor Ben Affleck.

Johnny Depp shoves 'midget down a toilet'

Johnny Depp shoves "a midget down a toilet" in Ricky Gervais' new TV series.

The actor has a cameo role in the comedian's upcoming sitcom 'Life's Too Short' - which stars diminutive actor Warwick Davis as a fictionalised version of himself - and he has revealed he plays a violent dwarf.

Although Depp was a little shocked by the script at first, he insists the scenes are very funny and has praised Gervais' talents as a writer.

Speaking at the New York premiere of his new movie 'The Rum Diary' - which is based on the novel of the same name by Hunter S. Thompson - he said: "Ricky's the funniest guy alive. I did a cameo for his HBO show 'Life's Too Short', which is out soon. You can't believe things he made me do. In it I play a dwarf, and he had me shove a midget down a toilet. He has this great sense of humour. I loved working with him. He's so hilarious, I'd marry him."

The Hollywood heartthrob joked the scenes are so shocking they could have a negative effect on his future career.

Depp, 48, added to the New York Post newspaper: "My email to him (Gervais) read, 'Upon this debut I anticipate an immediate 95 per cent plummet in my earnings. Thank you for ruining my career.' "

Lindsay Lohan plans to pose in Playboy

Actress Lindsay Lohan arrives at Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles in this March 10, 2011 file photo.[Photo/Agencies]

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan may have found a way to pay some of her mounting legal bills with a planned agreement to pose nude for Playboy magazine, a source who knew of Lohan's plans said on Tuesday.

Celebrity news outlets TMZ.com and Access Hollywood reported that Lohan, who has faced numerous legal charges in recent years including theft, will appear in the men's magazine and that a photo shoot had in fact already taken place.

Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, told the website X17online.com "the photo shoot went well," at a Beverly Hills mansion.

A Playboy spokeswoman declined to comment, and a spokesman for Lohan said he would "neither confirm or deny" the reports about the "Mean Girls" star who rose to fame in Disney movies.

One source told Reuters the deal was not yet final, meaning anything could happen including Lohan not appearing. Speculation about the actress posing nude for the magazine has been reported previously but never materialized.

Still, details leaked out on Tuesday. TMZ reported Playboy initially offered Lohan $750,000, but the actress wanted $1 million. Playboy countered with a deal that approached that figure, TMZ said, citing unnamed sources.

Lohan's mother also told X17 that she fully supported her daughter's decision to pose, which according to the media reports has been in the works for months.

Yet Lohan currently has a lot on her mind. The actress has been in and out of legal trouble since a drunk driving and drug conviction in 2007. Just last week, she had her probation on a 2011 stolen necklace charge revoked after she neglected her community service sentence.

At that trial, her attorney Shawn Holley said Lohan was having trouble finding work in the United States and was forced to travel to several European cities for employment.

Lohan is due back in a Los Angeles courtroom on November 2 to determine if she violated probation, which could mean jail.

The Playboy spread, if it occurs, would not be Lohan's first nude magazine photos. She appeared partially naked in a New York magazine in 2008 for a piece referencing Marilyn Monroe's famous 1962 shoot with photographer Bert Stern.

Monroe also famously appeared as a Playboy centerfold.

Winfrey interviews Ralph Lauren

Designer Ralph Lauren waves after presenting his Spring/Summer 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week, September 15, 2011.[Photo/Agencies]

NEW YORK - When Ralph Lauren sat down for a little chat Monday night with Oprah Winfrey, they picked up a discussion they started on TV back in the spring, when the fashion designer helped close out Winfrey's long-running talk show with an exclusive peek inside his Colorado estate.

But this time, their talk about Lauren's life, career and commitment to cancer causes was at Lincoln Center in front of a sold-out crowd of arts patrons and a celebrity guest that included Michael J Fox, Brian Williams, Diane von Furstenberg, Anna Wintour, Martha Stewart and Naomi Watts.

The conversation raised more than $7 million for Lauren's cancer care center in East Harlem, along with the Lincoln Center.

In a pre-show interview Lauren said he wanted to do this because he believes in the causes.

"I've been doing what I'm doing a long time, and I'm here to give back what I can," he said.

He said he can't remember first time he met Winfrey but spent a long time with her when she first launched her magazine. That formed a connection.

"I once found myself talking to Oprah in my car for an hour," he said. "Whenever I see her it's like I just saw her. That's a real connection."

But Winfrey, who wore a red portrait collar gown, told the audience it took 25 years for her to get the interview with Lauren at his Colorado ranch.

She said Lauren "designed the fabric of America the way we know it."

Monday's multimedia presentation was produced by Tony Award winner Darren Bagert. It ended with a fashion show of Lauren's spring collection.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg had declared Monday as The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention Day.

Robin Williams married his girlfriend Susan Schneider over the weekend in Napa Valley, the section of northern California known for wine and romance, the actor's representative said on Monday.

The 60-year-old Oscar-winning comedian met Schneider in 2009, after she helped nurse him back to health following surgery to a faulty heart valve, the actor told British newspaper The Guardian in 2009. It is his third marriage.

The actor's daughter, Zelda, on Saturday posted on Twitter "Let the wedding madness begin!" with updates from the festivities throughout the day.

U2 honored as 'Greatest Act' in 25 years

LONDON - Rock icons U2 have something new to brag about - winning Q Magazine's Greatest Act of the Last 25 Years award.

The annual music awards by Britain's best-selling music monthly took place Monday in London and the Irish quartet was among the music notables at the ceremony.

The U.K.'s artist of the moment, singer/songwriter Adele, won two awards, for Best Female and Best Track for her song "Rolling in the Deep." She didn't attend, since the event comes just two weeks after she was forced to cancel her U.S. tour due to throat problems.

Coldplay was voted Best Act in the World Today, although lead singer Chris Martin disagreed with the accolade.

"U2 are the best band in the world at the moment. We are about seventh," he said.

Noel Gallagher, one-half of the warring brothers who led the rock band Oasis to chart glory, was named a Q icon. But he said that award did not come close to rivaling his joy when his favorite soccer team, Manchester City, smashed crosstown rival Manchester United 6-1 on Sunday.

"No award can compare to that. That was the best day of my life, bar my children being born," Gallagher said.

Eighteen awards were handed out, including to rapper Tinie Tempah for Best Male Artist and to U.S. internet sensation Lana Del Ray, who was crowned the Next Big Thing.

Brian May and Roger Taylor accepted entry into the Q Hall of Fame on behalf of glam rockers Queen, and Take That's Gary Barlow was honored as Classic Songwriter.

Multimillion selling DJ Norman Cook, aka Fat Boy Slim, was presented with a Q Inspiration award.

Katie Holmes wants to see the world with Suri

Katie Holmes wants to travel the world with her daughter.

The 32-year-old actress is eager to embark on the "next chapter" in her life, and is looking forward to taking on new dramatic roles and experiencing new cultures with five-year-old Suri, her child with husband Tom Cruise.

She said: "I feel ready for the next chapter of my life. I'm excited to begin a new phase: roles I might have been afraid to play before, places I want to travel to with my daughter. I'd like to build the design business. But not too fast."

The former 'Dawson's Creek' star also admitted she is also keen to get rid of her mobile phone and live life in a more "old-fashioned" way.

She added in an interview with Marie Claire magazine: "I'm thinking about getting rid of [my cell phone]. Wouldn't it be great to have an old-fashioned phone sheet? Go to your office, make your calls, and then continue with your day?"

Katie also revealed she has to work hard to balance motherhood with her career, but she is pleased to be able to expose Suri to people with "incredible talent".

Asked how she balances the two, she said: "Because you have to. As an actress who is also a mother, you don't have the luxury of drama.

"Being around this business, my daughter is exposed to people with incredible talent, people who are the best at what they do. People I only dreamed of getting to work with as a little girl."

Lindsay Lohan out of community service

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been kicked out of her community service programme.

The 'Mean Girls' actress has to complete 380 hours of community work at the Los Angeles Downtown Women's Centre as part of her sentence for stealing a $2,500 necklace in January, but after a "very unimpressive" performance where she is said to have only served 60 of the required hours, she was asked to leave.

Lindsay is said to have failed to show up for nine scheduled visits and when she did work, she often left after one hour instead of the mandated four, according to gossip website TMZ.

Lindsay, 25, was reassigned to a new community service programme at the Red Cross two weeks ago.

The troubled actress is due for a progress hearing on October 17, and the judge handling her case "has told Lindsay in the past that she will not accept any excuses" for her not staying track.

Lindsay's publicist, Steve Honig, defended her recent appearances at model shoots and New York Fashion Week, saying: "Lindsay has been working very closely with her advisors to balance the demands of making a living while at the same time fulfilling her court-mandated obligations."

However, her father, Michael Lohan, has voiced his concern.

He said: "I am concerned about her community service at hand. Her lawyers and I have done all we can to keep her out of jail and the last thing in the world I want to see is her to get violated."

Susan Boyle wants a boyfriend

Susan Boyle is desperate to find a boyfriend.

The 'Enjoy the Silence' singer has only had one romance in her lifetime, almost thirty years ago, and admits her quest for a man hasn't improved with her fame.

The only guy Susan really has a crush on is singer Donny Osmond, who is married to Debra Glenn.

She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm on my own quite a lot and that special person hasn't come along yet. I've had a few offers in the post and, let me tell you, some of them are beauties.

"And some of the photographs I've been sent - oh my God! Let's just say they were not suitable for me. Only Donny Osmond has really caught my eye - but he's spoken for."

The 50-year-old star - who was catapulted into the limelight in 2009 after appearing on 'Britain's Got Talent' - lives with her cat Pebbles, but her success has meant she is less shy than she used to be.

She added: "It's made me grow up a bit, it's made me more confident and sociable. I was painfully shy before but now it's getting to the stage where people can't shut me up.

"Sometimes you have periods of self-doubt where you think you're not worthy of all this and retreat into yourself. But I think I now know how to cope with the pressure better than two years ago. I've had a bit of a blip now and again but you learn and become better at what you do."

However, Susan has found it hard to leave her old life behind, and despite buying a £300,000 property near to the house where she grew up in West Lothian, Scotland, she finds it too "posh" and prefers to stay in her childhood home, a small former council owned dwelling.

She added: "I've got two houses, the council house and the new one. But I like my mother's house. It's where I started. I want to be in my own community, in my mother's house. The posh house gets used for rehearsing and that's about it."

Hugh Jackman devastated by fertility problems

Hugh Jackman was left heartbroken by his and his wife's inability to have a baby.

The actor and his spouse Debra were both devastated when they were told they had fertility problems and he admits it was hard to have to go through IVF treatment and for Debra to suffer two miscarriages.

But he admits the love they have for their adopted children, son Oscar, 11, and daughter Ava, six, has eased the pain they experienced.

Hugh revealed: "It was painful. We thought we'd have a kid or two biologically and then adopt.

"Obviously, biologically wasn't the way we were meant to have children. I don't think of them as adopted - they are our children."

Hugh admits parenthood is not always easy but he has learnt a lot about himself from his kids.

The 43-year-old actor told the Daily Record newspaper: "With kids you have this wonderful ability to carry on for months without any sleep. And you learn patience. Kids have a way of pushing every button. They find the trigger points - those things that make you frustrated and angry and they use them."

Hugh's children even help him pick his film roles, as it was Oscar who encouraged him to star in robot boxing movie 'Real Steel' after he read the script to him as a bedtime story.

Hugh said: "I got to the end of the scene and Oscar was still awake. He told me to keep going and when we got through it, he said, 'Dad you have to do this.' "

Hugh Jackman's karaoke with Pattinson

Hugh Jackman and Robert Pattinson did karaoke together in Japan.

'Real Steel' star Hugh revealed he asked the 'Twilight' star to join him and 'Australia' director Baz Luhrmann at a Japanese karaoke bar after they were on the same flight to the country and Hugh claims Robert has a great voice.

He told MTV News: "I actually did karaoke with Rob. That's random, isn't it? We were on our way to Japan, and he was promoting ['Twilight'] and I didn't talk to him at all on the flight, because he's this really tall guy with a hood over his head literally, and every time I'd go to the bathroom, I'd be like, 'Man, that guy takes some serious sleeping pills,' because this was him slumped over the whole time.

"He sang very well. I can't even remember what it was he was singing. Man, he's got a voice. Really soulful."

Although he was impressed with Robert's vocals, Hugh admitted the whole experience was a "little weird".

He explained: "The first thing you do is you get inside this room, the doors are closed, and there's, like, eight of you. So it feels a little weird. And then all of a sudden, they open, and they bring in these boxes, which are basically [full of] dress-up [clothes], and it's all girls' clothes. I was a schoolgirl, Baz got dressed up, and Rob did not. He was too cool for school."

Her legal team also claim the product's packaging carried her name stating it was "Jessica Alba's #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!"

The lawsuit also accuses the company of prominently featuring her name and photograph "under the Celebrity Testimonials section of their website".

Since legal action was taken Jessica's picture no longer appears on the web page where stars including Kourtney Kardashian and Minnie Driver give statements praising the product.

According to TMZ.com, the 30-year-old screen beauty - who has two daughters, three-year-old Honor Marie and two-month-old Haven Garner, with her husband Cash Warren - is also seeking a percentage of the company's profits as well as the damages.

Since giving birth to Haven, Jessica has revealed she has adhered to a regimented 45 minutes a day exercise regime and has calorie-controlled meals delivered to her home

She previously said: "I have a hard time with portion control, so I have 1,200 calorie meals delivered. But I also work out, so basically I'm starving-it sucks. I drink a lot of water ... I'm working out every day, even just for 45 minutes is good for my mental state. Getting dressed and actually doing it is the worst. It's hard to get motivated."

Jessica Simpson rumoured to be pregnant

Jessica Simpson is reportedly pregnant.

Hungarian police seize weapons from Brad Pitt film

U.S. actor Brad Pitt, who stars as Oakland Athletics' general manager Billy Beane, arrives for the world premiere of the film "Moneyball" in Oakland, California September 19, 2011.[Photo/Agencies]

Hungarian police have seized a stockpile of weapons that was shipped to the Hungarian capital for the production of a film about zombies starring Brad Pitt, a film crew member said on Tuesday.

Weapons expert Bela Gajdos, who has worked on the filming of zombie movie "World War Z" to ensure the safe handling of the weapons used, told national news agency MTI that each firearm had been converted to restrict its use to blank ammunition.

Gajdos added that the weapons were completely harmless and had already been used on a shoot in London.

World War Z, a big-budget horror film directed by Marc Forster and slated for release in 2012, recently shifted filming to Hungary from Britain.

"We had a police permit to bring these guns into the country," Gajdos told MTI, adding that the production had contracted arms experts to establish whether the guns complied with Hungarian laws.

But the guns were seized before experts could inspect them.

Adam Goodman, the producer of the film, was not immediately available for comment.

Janos Hajdu, the chief of the Hungarian Anti-Terrorism Center on Monday said the agency seized a large stockpile of weapons, which arrived from England on a chartered plane. He could not confirm whether the weapons were intended for the World War Z shoot.

The National Bureau for Investigation, which took over the case, said in an emailed reply to Reuters questions that it was conducting an investigation for abuse of arms and ammunition, but would not release any further details.

The weapons included hand guns, machine guns, high-precision sniper rifles, hand grenades and a large quantity of high-caliber ammunition, according to photos and a video released by the Anti-Terrorism center.

According to the video, some weapons could be re-converted to use live ammunition by removing a single screw.

Hajdu said the firearms had not been properly disabled and could not be allowed into the country less than two weeks before a national holiday commemorating the 1956 uprising, MTI reported.

Taylor Swift named Billboard woman of the year

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was named Billboard's woman of the year on Tuesday, becoming the youngest artist ever to receive the honor.

The 21-year-old country-pop crossover artist has won four Grammys and her five-time platinum selling album "Speak Now" has been one of 2011's biggest sellers in the United States. Eleven of the 14 tracks made their way onto the Billboard Hot 100 charts in a single week earlier this year.

Billboard editorial director Bill Werde said Swift's music and songwriting had transcended all genres of music.

"At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere. I look forward to watching her career continue to flourish in the years to come," Werde said.

Swift's 2008 album "Fearless" captured both the heartache and thrills of first love and remains the longest-running No.1 album by a female country artist in the history of the Billboard 200 album charts.

Her overall worldwide sales now exceed 20 million albums and 40 million song downloads, Billboard said.

Swift will be presented with the award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on December 2 in New York.taken from : China Daily

Speaking on Australia's 'Sunday Night', she said: "My husband and I have been together for 10 years - all of my 20s - and I just feel like it's time and I'm very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift any human being can have. Julia Roberts scared to confess evil role to kids

Julia Roberts hasn't told her children she is playing the Evil Queen in the new Snow White movie.

The 43-year-old actress - who has seven-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and four-year-old son Henry with husband Danny Moder - revealed her kids were so scared of the Disney cartoon version of the story, they had nightmares so she can't bring herself to confess her role in the new movie.

She told Access Hollywood: "I haven't like spelled it out that I'm the Evil Queen. Because I showed them [Disney's] 'Snow White' and they had nightmares and they cried."

Julia loves working on the new film with Lily Collins and 'The Social Network' star Armie Hammer and says viewers will be especially thrilled with the movie's dwarfs.

She explained: "We don't have the classic dwarfs. Our dwarfs have different names and personalities than the fairytale."

Lily has previously claimed Julia gave her "goosebumps" because she is so convincing as the Evil Queen in the film.

She said: "She gave me goosebumps. She played the Evil Queen brilliantly. You forget that's really Julia because she's so good. Off camera, she's so down to earth and so sweet. We'd be shooting and she's being extremely horrible to me [in character] and once they yell cut, the first thing she says to me, 'Are you okay? I'm sorry, I hate being mean to you.'"

Leonardo Dicaprio dating two Australian models

Leonardo Dicaprio is reportedly dating two Australian models.

The 36-year-old actor was revealed last week to have started romancing Alyce Crawford after splitting from 'Gossip Girl' actress Blake Lively - who he had been in a relationship with for five months.

As well as seeing the 'Australia's Next Top Model' contestant, it has now been claimed Leonardo is also working his charms on 20-year-old catwalk beauty Kendal Schuler - who recently separated from Australian 'Celebrity Apprentice' contestant Didier Cohen.

A friend told Australia's The Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "Leo has told her she can visit any time she likes as long as she keeps it low key. She has taken him up on that opportunity already a couple of times.

"But she isn't silly - she knows this isn't serious and she is just enjoying the time with him."

The renowned Hollywood lothario - who is currently in Sydney shooting Baz Luhrmann's interpretation of 'The Great Gatsby' - is believed to have first met Kendal in Los Angeles and met her again recently when they ran into each other at Sydney nightclub Beach Haus.

The friend added: "They have been in contact since he got here and she has seen him three or four times. He has told her to be very discreet."

Leonardo has been dating Alyce, 21, for a couple of weeks and has been seeing her during on weekdays after shooting on his new project has wrapped.

A source said: "He texts her when he wants to see her and they hook up a few times a week. They've mostly been meeting up during the week. He does other things on weekends.

"She's been going to his hotel to visit but he is too smart to be seen with her in public."

‘Real Steel’ Is Weekend’s No. 1 Movie, Beating Clooney’s ‘Ides of March’

By Michael White and Alex Nussbaum - Oct 10, 2011 2:55 AM GMT+0700

“Real Steel,” the action tale featuring boxing robots, was the top film at U.S. and Canadian theaters, generating $27.3 million in ticket sales for Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks SKG and Walt Disney Co. (DIS)

“Dolphin Tale,” last weekend’s leader, dropped to third place with $9.16 million, researcher Hollywood.com Box-Office said today in an e-mailed statement. The weekend’s other new release, the political thriller “The Ides of March,” was second with $10.4 million.

“Real Steel,” inspired by Richard Matheson’s short story, stars Hugh Jackman as an absentee father who trains robots for the ring. The visual effects-laden film, with Spielberg as executive producer, had the third-biggest opening ever for a Columbus Day weekend movie, said Gitesh Pandya, chief executive officer at movie-tracker BoxOfficeGuru.com.

“Breaking $25 million in October is something you don’t see too often,” Pandya said in a telephone interview. “There hasn’t been a big action movie since the summer, and I think action audiences have been craving something like this.”

The film, in which Jackman plays a trainer who buys an outdated boxing robot, is a good sign for DreamWorks, which had disappointing results with movies earlier this year, Pandya said. It rebounded recently with “The Help,” a civil rights- era drama that’s taken in $163 million, he said.

Matheson’s Legend

“Real Steel,” which stars Dakota Goyo as Jackman’s son, is one of several Matheson works to be adapted to the screen. Others include the novel “I Am Legend,” which became the basis for the 2007 Will Smith thriller.

“Ides of March” features Ryan Gosling as the idealistic press secretary to a governor, played by George Clooney, who aspires to be president. Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Evan Rachel Wood co-star.

The film, distributed by Sony Corp. (6758), has garnered talk of possible Oscar nominations, giving it a chance for sustained sales, Pandya said. Clooney’s pictures typically take in $10 million to $15 million in their first weekends and have to contend with the star’s high-profile liberal politics, Pandya said.

“There are many people in America who do not want to see his films and a lot of people who love him,” he said. “It is an older-skewing film and the reviews have been good, so I think it should have some good legs ahead of it.”

‘Dolphin Tale’

“Dolphin Tale,” which placed third, stars Harry Connick Jr. and Morgan Freeman. The picture is based on the true story of a dolphin whose tail was amputated because of infection after becoming entangled in a crab trap. The movie has taken in $49.1 million since its release.

Sony’s “Moneyball,” the baseball movie starring Brad Pitt, came in fourth, with $7.5 million in sales.

“50/50,” the Summit Entertainment LLC film about a young man who has cancer, was fifth with $5.5 million in its second weekend. In the movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character confides to a friend, played by Seth Rogen, that he has been diagnosed with the disease. Anna Kendrick co-stars as a therapist who tries to help the patient cope with his situation.

Weekend revenue for the top 12 films climbed 3.7 percent to $84.4 million from the year-earlier period, Hollywood.com said. Domestic box-office receipts this year have declined 3.36 percent to $8.11 billion. Attendance is down 5.4 percent.

Justin Bieber stays in luxury hotel

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are staying in a $2,300-a-night suite in Brazil.

The teenage couple are reportedly based in a luxury penthouse suite in Rio de Janeiro while the 'Baby' hitmaker plays a string of South American concert dates, and their room boasts two marble bathrooms, king-sized bed and luxury French fabrics.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Justin and Selena are staying at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, which is considered to be the most exclusive hotel in Rio. They are staying in a penthouse suite which includes one bedroom with a king-sized bed, a living room, a mini bar and two marble bathrooms with a separate bathtub and shower.

"The suite is decorated with exquisite works of art, exotic carpets and French fabrics. The penthouse suite costs about $2,900 a night!"

In addition to the luxury fittings inside the room, the pair are able to enjoy beautiful views on their private terrace.

The source said: "Their suite has a private terrace and overlooks the Copacabana beach. It's gorgeous and extremely elegant. Stevie Wonder stayed in the exact same suite just a few days ago.

"The penthouse floor is on the sixth level, which also has a private swimming pool area with a wet bar."

Though the insider couldn't confirm exactly how long Justin, 17, and his 19-year-old girlfriend will be staying at the hotel, they could say it would be for "at least three nights" and they have already been making the most of the facilities the hotel has to offer.

The source said: "Both Justin and Selena have visited the Spa which has been named one of the best spas in Rio de Janeiro. They both seem a little tired - maybe from the long flight - but they are both very polite and friendly and seem happy to be together. It is very romantic here in Rio!"

'Twilight' actress dates Spider-Man

Ashley Greene is reportedly dating 'Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark' star Reeve Carney.

The 'Twilight' actress and Reeve were spotted on New York's subway together earlier this week and insiders revealed Reeve - who recently split from with co-star Jennifer Damiano - is already so serious about Ashley he has introduced her to his mother.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Reeve's relationship with Jennifer fizzled out, and he is now dating Ashley Greene.

"Ashley has been to the show a few times and has been introduced to Reeve's mom. While it has been going on for a short time, it already appears pretty serious."

Reeve and Jennifer - who play lovebirds Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson - started dating in June after working "12 hours a day" to improve the troubled show but pals say there is no bitterness over their break up.

An insider added: "While Reeve and Jennifer broke up, they have continued to work together well and there doesn't appear to be any animosity or bad blood."

Ashley has previously date Joe Jonas and was recently linked to Gerard Butler and Kings of Leon's Jared Followill.

The following is a roundup of soccer stories from U.K. newspapers, with clickable links to the Web.

L.A. Extension

David Beckham will probably reject an 18-month contract with Paris Saint-Germain worth 4 million pounds ($6.2 million) after deciding to stay in Los Angeles, the Sun said.

The Los Angeles Galaxy offered the former England captain a one-year extension to his contract, which ends in December, the newspaper said. Beckham, who wants to make sure his children have a stable upbringing, will make a decision after the Major League Soccer playoffs, the Sun said.

Beckham has also attracted interest from Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers, and teams in Brazil and the Middle East, the newspaper said.

Carragher Plans

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said he may retire in the next two years, the Daily Mail said.

The 33-year-old vice-captain has played for Liverpool for 14 years, the newspaper said. He said his future will be decided by team coach Kenny Dalglish, the newspaper said.

Arteta’s Transfer

Mikel Arteta said there wasn’t time for a medical exam before moving to Arsenal from Everton on transfer deadline day and he agreed to assume liability if he had a health issue, the Daily Mirror said.

Arsenal paid 10 million pounds for the Spaniard who needed 12 months to recover from a knee ligament injury suffered in February 2009, the Mirror said.

Anelka for Russia?

Jobs’s Death Leaves Hollywood Without Tech Envoy

By Michael White, Ronald Grover and Andy Fixmer - Oct 7, 2011 1:30 PM GMT+0700

Steve Jobs’s death leaves Hollywood without the trusted technology envoy who helped push the film, TV and music industries into the digital age.

In the 25 years after he bought George Lucas’s digital animation business and renamed it Pixar, Jobs charmed, angered and cajoled Hollywood executives as he pursued his vision for digital entertainment. He clashed with former Walt Disney Co. (DIS) Chief Executive Officer Michael Eisner over their movie partnership, while befriending Eisner’s successor, Robert Iger.

Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s co-founder relentlessly challenged the industry to change -- ushering in the age of digital animation with “Toy Story,” upending the record labels with the iPod and the iTunes store, and by negotiating to sell TV shows and films online. Disney’s ABC was the first to sign on.

“Steve and I were talking for months about delivering TV shows on iTunes, which is when he shows me the video iPod, and I said, ‘We’re in!’” Iger said in e-mail. “Movies were next, a year later. It was about what we wanted to do and what we felt was right for our business.”

With the 2006 sale of Pixar, Jobs became Burbank, California-based Disney’s biggest investor, with a stake worth $4.35 billion.

Hollywood executives resisted putting shows online. Piracy had devastated the music industry and iTunes’ dominance of online music retailing gave Cupertino, California-based Apple unprecedented influence over the record labels.

‘Getting It’

Jobs was determined to get the studios on board, said Jim Gianopulos, co-chairman of News Corp. (NWSA)’s Fox Filmed Entertainment.

“He’d call up and say, ‘We’ve got to do this, this is the way to do it, and you guys aren’t getting it,’” Gianopulos said in an interview. “We would banter back and forth, but we always found ways to work together. To his great credit, he would see an aspect of the film side, the media side, that he hadn’t considered, and he would call back the next day and he would have figured out how to work that problem.”

Today, iTunes is the top seller of online movies, with 66 percent of the market for electronic sales and Web video-on- demand, researcher IHS said in August. Its share of U.S. music retailing was 70 percent last year, according to NPD.

“Steve understood that the only way to compete with piracy was to create a system that by its very nature is more convenient for consumers,” said Paul Vidich, a Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) executive who negotiated the first record-label agreement with Apple.

‘Rocket Ship’

Diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer in 2003, Jobs died Oct. 5 at age 56. Gianopulos said his discussions with Jobs over film rights evolved into a personal friendship.

“He would come into the meeting and say, ‘Hey, you want to see something cool?’ And he would reach into his jacket and pull out the first prototype of the iPhone,” Gianopulos said. “It was like someone had shown you the first rocket ship.”

Disney, the pioneer in animation and theme parks, became a lab for Jobs. The studio served as distributor of Pixar movies starting in 1995. Later, after Jobs sold the animation studio to Disney for $8.06 billion in stock, the company became an Internet trailblazer as well -- becoming the first of its peers to offer films and TV shows on iTunes.

Today former Pixar CEO Ed Catmull oversees all of Disney’s animation. John Lasseter, Pixar’s creative leader, holds a similar post at Disney with roles in films and theme parks.

Clash With Eisner

Relations with Disney almost foundered in 2003 in a dispute with Eisner over an extension of the Pixar deal, and on Jan. 30, 2004, Jobs announced Pixar was looking elsewhere. In nine years, the partnership had produced some of Disney’s top-grossing pictures, such as “Finding Nemo.”

By that time, Eisner’s position at Disney was shaky. His pay and flagging stock angered institutional investors and Roy Disney, nephew of founder Walt and an influential shareholder. Iger was named to succeed Eisner in March 2005 and the first call was with Jobs.

“He wished me well and hoped we could work together soon,” Iger said in a 2005 interview with Businessweek. In October, within two weeks of taking over, Iger agreed to sell episodes of TV shows from Disney’s ABC network on iTunes for $1.99 each. Three months later, he clinched the deal for Pixar.

Pixar’s 12 movies have generated $5.73 billion in worldwide box office sales for Disney and theater operators, according to Box Office Mojo, a movie-tracking service. They’ve become theme- park attractions and a “Cars” land will open at Disney’s California Adventure next year.

‘Pretty Simple’

The entertainment industry is still grappling with how to prosper in the digital world Jobs helped create.

In August, after a year-long experiment, Apple ended its 99-cent rentals of TV episodes from Fox and ABC. CBS Corp. (CBS), owner of the most-watched U.S. TV network, and NBC didn’t participate because the price was too low.

After first caving in to Jobs’s demands that all songs sell for 99 cents, the music industry last year won more control over pricing on iTunes, pushing through a 30-cent increase in the price of some tracks.

Music executives credit Jobs with saving the industry from Internet piracy.

“The guy had been doing serious thinking while we were all batting our heads against a wall,” Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, said in a 2004 interview. “He was going to provide us with that great interface and we were going to give him unique content that you couldn’t get anywhere else. It was pretty simple, really.”

Johnny Depp admits wage is 'stupid'

Johnny Depp admits he is paid "stupid" money.

The 48-year-old-actor - who earned an estimated $300 million for his role in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies thanks to a profit-based pay deal - is happy to accept the huge deals for the sake of his two children, Lily-Rose, 11, and nine-year-old Jack, even though he thinks the offers are "ridiculous".

He said: "Basically, if they're going to pay me the stupid money right now, I'm going to take it. I have to. I mean, it's not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it's for my kids. It's ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It's for the kids."

However, the actor - who is in a long-term relationship with singer-and-actress Vanessa Paradis - admitted he has other motivations for continuing to act.

He added: "There is also a part of me that needs to have this kind of stimulation to the brain."

The notoriously private star also spoke of his hatred of having his picture taken, comparing it to "being raped" and admitting he finds having to pose for portraits "dumb".

He told the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine: "Well, you just feel like you're being raped somehow. Raped ... It feels like a kind of weird - just weird, man. Whenever you have a photoshoot or something like that, it's like - you just feel dumb. It's just so stupid."

Despite refusing to confirm their relationship in the five months they were dating, Leonardo, 35, and Blake, 24, were spotted on a string of dates throughout the summer including trips on a yacht in Disneyland, California, and a water taxi in Venice, Italy.

Leonardo also treated Blake to a helicopter ride to Saint-Paul de Vence, France for a $500 lunch at La Colombe d'Or Restaurant, a stay at the $5,000-a-night suite at Hotel de Paris and a trip on a $52 million yacht.

The couple enjoyed a meal at exclusive restaurant Aria and were seated at one of the eatery's best tables which boasts a panoramic view of Sydney Harbour.

A source said: "[Blake] looked gorgeous and they looked very much like a couple. They seemed to be having a really nice time and were definitely enjoying the view."

However, Blake spent last weekend in Boston where she enjoyed a romantic meal with 'Green Lantern' co-star Ryan Reynolds at sushi palace O Ya in the Leather District, the Boston Herald reported.
