OneRepublic is an Americanrock band formed in Colorado. After a few years of moderate success, they have since drawn mainstream attention with the release of their single "Apologize," which has sold in excess of 6 million singles worldwide. [1] The song, according to SoundScan Data, is one of only two songs that have reached 3 million legal downloads in history. [2] A remix of "Apologize" was featured on Timbaland's Shock Value and the band's debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, produced by Greg Wells. Their debut album was released in the United States on November 20, 2007, with international release dates staggered throughout early 2008. As of June 14, 2008, Dreaming Out Loud had sold 653,668 copies in the U.S. [3] The band's second single, "Stop and Stare," has also crossed the 2 million mark in terms of worldwide single sales.[4] Their 3rd single, "Say (All I Need)", has been released in the UK and in the U.S.
Timbaland sure has funny taste in rock dudes. From the sound of his latest discovery, OneRepublic, he's been watching a lot of The Hills lately. The Colorado band, longtime music-biz chancers, sounds like an aggressively ordinary Audrina/arena rock combo, combining the least distinctive traits of the Fray, Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback or (to be charitable) Coldplay. But Timbaland has given them a huge hit with his remix of "Apologize," and a fine hit it is, too: a compellingly incongruous teen-romance melodrama, cutting Ryan Tedder's bland vocals with a stuttering R&B drum loop. On the rest of the album, OneRepublic get to assert their own identity, which is a drag, since the half-loud guitars and sob-in-the-throat vocals could be absolutely anybody. Tedder emotes about girls in quizzical plaints like "Mercy" and "Tyrant" ("Capable of most anything/This crippled bird's gonna sing"). From the CD booklet, it seems like the band members are devoutly religious, so maybe they should sing about God instead of girls, which would definitely be more interesting.

Despite its weary template, "American Idol" season seven managed to peak with a jaw-clencher: Which David will win? With a comfortable margin of 12 million votes, America got it right, as rocker David Cook was deemed the prize winner May 21. Unfortunately, he is saddled with victory anthem "Time of My Life," the same sort of gooey ballad that has beleaguered every Idol, but he delivers it with enough gritty panache to at least propel it beyond its clichéd thematic and melodic makeup. Despite the show reminding over and over about how much talent pervaded this season, most among the top 12 face an uphill climb in the real world. Cook is a star, as is earnest runner-up David Archuleta and too-early castoff Michael Johns. The real competition begins when we hear what these pageant finalists deliver post-reality series. Time will tell. —Chuck Taylor

David Cook 'The Time Of My Life' Lyrics
I’ve been waiting for my dreams To turn into something I could believe in And looking for that Magic rainbow On the horizon I couldn’t see it Until I let go Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn Now I’m coming alive Body and soul And feelin’ my world start to turn
And I’ll taste every moment And live it out loud I know this is the time, This is the time To be more than a name Or a face in the crowd I know this is the time This is the time of my life Time of my life
Holding onto things that vanished Into the air Left me in pieces But now I’m rising from the ashes Finding my wings And all that I needed Was there all along Within my reach As close as the beat of my heart
So I’ll taste every moment And live it out loud I know this is the time, This is the time to be More than a name Or a face in the crowd I know this is the time This is the time of my life Time of my life
And I’m out on the edge of forever Ready to run I’m keeping my feet on the ground My arms open wide My face to the sun
I’ll taste every moment And live it out loud I know this is the time, This is the time to be More than a name Or a face in the crowd I know this is the time This is the time of my life Time of my life More than a name Or a face in the crowd I know This is the time This is the time of my life. This is the time of my life.

Review Album : (www.billboard.com)
No one ever envisioned Alanis Morissette penning the comfort guide to a harsh breakup, yet for electro-influenced "Flavors of Entanglement," her clear-eyed look back, inward and forward is with a poise borne of time's passing. She no longer prowls in search of vengeful hookups. After the finger-pointing "Straightjacket," the singer declares "a respite from the toils of liaison" on transcendent ambient trip "Moratorium." Chill-out track "Giggling Again for No Reason" gurgles with delicate happiness, and there's room for throbbing masterstroke "Versions of Violence," whose vibe compares to Delerium's "Silence." Every wall is torn down for vulnerable piano prayer "Not As We," but plenty of hope is left for the uplifting "Incomplete." Full of gratitude for being "ever unfolding, ever expanding, ever adventurous," Morissette's superb lyrics leave you cheering for her—and assured that she's going to be just fine. —Christa L. Titus

Reborn and shivering Spat out on new terrain Unsure, unkind, insane This faint and shaken hour
Day one, day one Start over again Step one, step one I'm barely making sense For now I'm faking it 'Til I'm psuedo-making it From scratch, begin again But this time I as "I" And not as "we"
Gun-shy and shivering Tear it without a hand Feign brave but still intent Little and hardly here
Day one, day one Start over again
Step one, step one I'm barely making sense For now I'm faking it 'Til I'm psuedo-making it From scratch, begin again But this time I as "I" And not as "we"
Eyes wet, Toward wide open freight If God is taking bias, I pray he wants to lose

20-year-old Colby O'Donis has been looking for his big breakthrough opportunity for over a decade. Hooking up with Akon seems to be the step that will take him over the threshold. This first single is rolling up the charts and will fit comfortably on pop radio, in dance clubs, and cruising in the car throughout the summer of 2008.
Colby O'Donis' vocals are nearly as smooth and sweet as those of his mentor. Set against a romantic blend of synths, strings, and gently insistent beats, his voice goes down like a soft evening breeze. O'Donis has a similar romantic touch to that of Akon. When the mentor kicks in near the end with his own verses, it is obvious how symbiotic the studio relationship is between the pair.
The debut album from Colby O'Donis is still on its way, but this first single has generated significant interest in the industry. Look for O'Donis at the end of 2008 on lists of top new artists.

3 Doors Down 'It's Not My Time' Lyrics
Looking back at the beginning of this And how life was Just you and me and love and all of our friends Living life like an ocean Now the current's slowly pulling me down It's getting harder to breathe It won't be too long and I'll be going under Can you save me from this
('Cause) It's not my time, I'm not going There's a fear in me It's not showing This could be the end of me And everything I know Oh, I won't go
I look ahead to all the plans that we made And the dreams that we had I'm in a world that tries to take them away Oh, but I'm taking them back All this time I've just been too blind to understand What should matter to me My friend, this life we live Is not what we have, it's what we believe
(And) It's not my time I'm not going There's a fear in me It's not showing This could be the end of me And everything I know But, it's not my time I'm not going There's a fear in me Now I know that This could be the end of me And everything I know Oh, I won't go I won't go
(solo)
There might be more than you believe (There might be more than you believe) There might be more than you can see But, it's not my time I'm not going There's a fear in me It's not showing This could be the end of me And everything I know But, it's not my time I'm not going There's a will in me Now it's gonna show This could be the end of me And everything I know, oh There might be more than you believe (There might be more than you believe) There might be more than you can see And I won't go No I won't go down (yeahh)

Album Review
When listening to the Flobots debut album, Fight with Tools, there's a feeling that all the destruction and injustice this politically motivated alt rap crew speak of has been seen through CNN and YouTube. There's a certain grit missing, a certain soul that comes from living the nightmare and surviving, and whether they've been through it or not, the Flobots just don't display it. Fight with Tools also feels like a college class project partly because it's so clean but also because it's incredibly busy with ambition and new ideas overflowing as everything and the kitchen sink get thrown into the record. This youthful ambition and willingness to explore is also what makes the record special. The Denver crew enter by spitting out a Gil Scott-Heron by way of Def Poetry Jam bit of prose on the opening "There's a War Going on for Your Mind," offering surreal lines like "It's raining pornography/Lovers take shelter" over melancholy chamber music. That's the Flobots' real hook; they rap with a live band, and not the guitar, bass, drums beat combo you've seen before. It's all of the above and some strings, horns, and other things left over from the orchestra and marching band. This isn't as Kids from Fame as it sounds, since the Flobots do have a believablly stern pose, and if they aren't experienced, they are brilliantly educated and aware. Good points are made with skill and fine wordplay, the guitars and drums crunch along driving home the message with head-bobbing grooves, and then album opens up with the marvelous "Handlebars," a carefully crafted, slowly building tale of the ego run wild via some beautiful muted trumpet. It's a very Fort Minor moment, and sweet relief from all the pain and in-your-face politics, suggesting the Flobots could benefit from a little more restraint. Here, they've got so much to stay it's hardly worth considering. If the talented young bucks want to shout down the world as if they own the place, why curb their inspiring appetite for justice by asking for discipline and composure? ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide

Review Album : Paramore 'That's What You Get ' By.Justin De La Cruz
Mind versus body is a rather common topic for lovelorn pop tunes. Paramore are fully aware of this, which is apparent as much in their latest single as it is in their band name.
The rock-pop band with roots in Tennessee showcase strong contrasts in That's What You Get. Straightforward pop vocals from the grrl rock, Avril Lavigne-inspired Hayley Williams are backed by a layer of modern rock guitars, a poppy rock drumbeat, and some indie-tinged lead guitar parts.
For the most part, the track plods along down a normal modern rock-pop path, but there are moments of uninspired syncopation that try to bring a much-needed energy to the song. There is not a great amount of originality here, but the song does succeed in distinguishing itself from standard rock-pop tunes.
Paramore are supported by an appropriate label - Fueled By Ramen, started by a member of ska-punk band Less Than Jake, has taken interest in everything from the emo rock of Jimmy Eat World to newer mainstream groups like Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco. And with a little development, including some work on lyric writing (the song doesn't really explain what it is exactly that you get when "you let your heart win"), Paramore could see a bright future by bringing out its more diverse elements.

Paramore 'That's What You Get ' Lyrics
No sir, well I don't wanna be the blame, not anymore. It's your turn, so take a seat we're settling the final score. And why do we like to hurt, so much?
I can't decide You have made it harder just to go on And why, all the possibilities where I was wrong
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. I drowned out all my sense away, with the sound of its beating. And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
I wonder, how am I supposed to feel when you're not here. 'Cause I burned every bridge I ever built when you were here. I still try holding onto silly things, I never learn. Oh why, all the possibilities I'm sure you've heard.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. I drowned out all my sense away, with the sound of its beating. (beating) And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
Pain make your way to me, to me. And I'll always be just so inviting. If I ever start to think straight, This heart will start a riot in me, Let's start, start, hey!
Why do we like to hurt so much? Oh why do we like to hurt so much?
That's what you get when you let your heart win! Whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
Now I can't trust myself with anything but this, And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

Review Album : September: 'Cry For You'
By Nick Levine, Music Editor
From the people who brought us Basshunter and H 'two' O featuring Platnum comes another unstoppable club tune with chart crossover potential. Wait… come back! 'Cry For You (You'll Never See Me Again)' - the third single released by newly-formed label for "dance fanatics" Hard2Beat - is actually a pretty decent record. Already a hit in September's native Sweden and on the US dance chart, it's a surprisingly affecting Eurodance number, a record that's both relentlessly danceable and desperately sad. Will it cause that other Swedish pop blonde any sleepless nights? Nah, it's not original enough for that. Will it give Robyn a few "large ones" if she's out and on the sambuca over the next few weeks? You betcha. Taken From : http://www.digitalspy.co.uk

Busta Rhymes feat. Linkin Park We Made It (Warner) By. Fiona McGlynn
HIP-HOP legend Busta Rhymes returns with We Made It featuring multi-platinum selling band Linkin Park.
Taken from his new eighth studio album Blessed (out in the summer) and beginning with piano, the distinct, fast-rapping style of Rhymes crashes in over a heavy beat. The catchy chorus (‘together we made it…’) is sung by Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and his familiar whiny vocals suit the track.
LP’s Mike Shinoda also produced the track, the guitars and the pop chorus add to the mix. This is an good example of a hip hop/rock crossover and We Made It works a lot better then most of Linkin Park’s supposed style of ‘rock’ .
Busta Rhymes Featuring Linkin Park - We Made It Lyrics
Together we made it We made it even though we had our backs Up against the wall
see a nigga survived the worst But my life is glorious (uh!) But I know that I leaped every hurdle And I'm so victorious (uh!) Take a look I'm a symbol of greatness Now you could call me Morpheus (yeah) As force securin' the win, but they Believe I'm so notorious (yeah) You know that I've been 'bout my bread Even though we rappin' now (yes) We used to live on the strip even though A nigga higher level trappin' now (oh!) Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel reunite onscreen this summer as the lifelong best friends audiences fell in love with four years ago. Based on Ann Brashares’ best-selling series of novels about four young women who share an unbreakable bond through the unpredictable events of their lives, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” catches up with Tibby, Carmen, Bridget and Lena in the months following their first year of college. Having been apart all year, their plans for the summer will take them even further along separate paths as each experiences the freedom, love, choices and challenging life lessons that mark their individual journeys toward adulthood. Now, it will take more than a hurried note or even a treasured pair of pants passed back and forth among them to keep their lives connected.
Feeling displaced at home with her mother expecting a new baby, and disappointed that her friends opted to spend the summer away, Carmen (America Ferrera) accepts a chance invitation to work backstage at a theater festival in Vermont. There, she surprisingly finds herself thrust into the spotlight for the very first time and simultaneously becomes the focus of the play’s handsome young leading man.
Tibby (Amber Tamblyn), meanwhile, remains in New York City to wrap an NYU film project while cautiously taking her relationship with Brian McBrian (Leonardo Nam, reprising his role from the first film) to the next level. When an unexpected crisis complicates everything, she must finally face her fear of getting close if she wants to let love in.
Bridget (Blake Lively), still struggling with the loss of her mother and questions about her past, travels to Turkey for an archeological dig before realizing that the truths she needs to uncover are buried closer to home.
And Lena (Alexis Bledel), separated from first love Kostas (Michael Rady) and studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, meets a free-spirited fellow art student (Jesse Williams) who forces her to choose between holding on to her memories or mending her heart and pursuing an exciting new love.
For Tibby, Carmen, Bridget and Lena, communication was always as easy as breathing. Now, new priorities and rapid changes make it harder for them to keep in touch. Messages are sometimes missed… or misunderstood.
But when it matters most, they will still reach out to those who know them best. Finding a way to share their experiences as they always have, with heart and humor, they will come to value more than ever the immeasurable power of their friendship.
Movie Preview
Back in 2005, when the original Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants — about four high school friends who share a pair of magical jeans — was released, things looked quite different for the film's stars. Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn were on cult TV shows, America Ferrera was a respected but seldom employed actress, and Blake Lively a relative unknown who had been plucked from a casting call. The movie grossed only $39 million in theaters, but DVD sales turned this heartwarming chicklet flick into a hit, which meant a sequel was almost inevitable.
But in those interim three years, everything changed. Ferrera's and Lively's careers took off on Ugly Betty and Gossip Girl, respectively, while Bledel's and Tamblyn's shows came to an end. When it was time to reassemble the cast, some were reportedly reluctant to make the sequel. Even magical jeans can't get you out of contractual obligations, though, and all four stars ended up returning. ''Yes, there were contracts and reluctancies,'' says director Sanaa Hamri. ''But the truth of the matter was, once we were in the midst of it, all my actresses just lost themselves in it.''
Based on stories from three books in Ann Brashares' Sisterhood series, the sequel weaves together the tales of Carmen (Ferrera) taking theater courses at Yale, Bridget (Lively) reconnecting with a grandmother (Blythe Danner) she never knew, Tibby (Tamblyn) studying to be a director at NYU, and Lena (Bledel) choosing between two different love interests. ''From day one it was like being back on the first [Sisterhood],'' says Tamblyn. ''America and I immediately got on set and started complaining about how nice Blake's legs are and how it pissed us off.'' But can these 19-year-old characters compete with that other summer movie about four female friends navigating life, love, and clothing? ''Do the women of Sex and the City all share one pair of pants?'' asks Tamblyn. ''I think not.'' (August 8)

New Kids On The Block "Summertime" Lyrics
Spoken: Jones Beach 1988. Come on!
Do you remember, Or should I rewind, To that summer when you caught my eye, I played it cool, The weather was hot, You had the beauty and the beach on lock.
With your flip flops, half shirt, short shorts, mini skirt, Walkin' on the beach, so pretty, You wasn't lookin' for a man, When you saw me in the sand, But you fell for the boy from the city.
I was like, "hey, girl, can I get your number" I remember what you told me too, "Don't call after ten" But you know that I did, 'Cause I couldn't stop thinkin' 'bout you.
I think about you in the summertime, (Oh oh) And all the good times we had, baby, Been a few years and I can't deny, (Oh oh) The thought of you still makes me crazy, I think about you in the summertime, (Oh oh) I'm sittin' here in the sun with you on my mind. You are, my summertime.
Do you remember, I'll never forget, Touchin' your body all soakin' wet, The water was cool, The feelin' was hot, Kissin' on you while the ocean rocked.
In your strapless sundress, Kickin' back, no stress, As long as we was together, 'Cause we were feelin' young love, And we couldn't get enough. Baby, I could reminisce forever.
And now I'm like, Hey, girl, don't you know I miss it, And I wonder if you miss it too, Never thought it would end 'til it did, Now, I'm here and I can't stop thinkin' 'bout you.
I think about you in the summertime, (Oh oh) And all the good times we had, baby, Been a few years and I can't deny, (Oh oh) The thought of you still makes me crazy, I think about you in the summertime, I'm sittin' here in the sun with you on my mind. You are, my summertime.
Spoken: Break it down.
Summer ended, Winter started, It got colder, When we parted ways, (Spoken: I like this part.) As the seasons change. (Spoken: Bring it forward, bring it back) Winter melted, Spring I felt it, Summertime will never be the same, (Without you. My summertime.) My summertime.
I think about you in the summertime, I think about you (Oh oh) And all the good times we had, baby, We had baby It's been a few years and I can't deny, I can't deny (Oh oh) The thought of you still makes me crazy, Makes me crazy I think about you in the summertime, I'm sittin' here in the sun with you on my mind. On my mind, My summertime.
Jack Johnson may be a former pro surfer, but he ain't no Beach Boy. Where the songs of Brian Wilson (who never actually surfed, remember) celebrate the rush and exuberant triumph of catching a wave, Johnson draws on the sport's solitary, Zen-like side — the gentle, rolling rhythms of his music match his simple, nature-inspired language. Over the course of three platinum albums, plus the bulk of the chart-topping 2006 soundtrack to Curious George, this laid-back worldview has been enough to make the affable Johnson an unlikely pop sensation.
His new disc, Sleep Through the Static, was supposed to be the project on which Johnson shook up his formula. The album reunites him with Ben Harper's producer, JP Plunier, who helmed Johnson's 2001 debut, Brushfire Fairytales. Touring keyboard player Zach Gill has been added to Johnson's usual guitar-bass-drums studio trio, allowing for a slightly wider range of sounds and textures.
But while Johnson has spoken about the darker themes informing the songs on Sleep, and even referenced his punk-rock past, the album isn't exactly a radical departure. Certainly, some of the lyrics here represent a more mature sensibility than the Johnson of goofball favorites such as "Bubble Toes" and "Banana Pancakes." (The Curious George assignment was an inspired idea, since the singer often comes across like a cool, lovable camp counselor.)
Johnson is now a thirty-two-year-old father of two, and his new songs express the contemporary fears and realities that hit home even in his idyllic Hawaiian paradise. The opening "All at Once" sets the tone when he sings that "as the darkness gets deeper/We're sinking, so we reach for love." The title track is a jumbled meditation on the Iraq War. It's a bit too cheeky for its own good ("shock and awful thing" is dated and obvious), but somehow still effective, if only because of its surprising source.
Some of the more ambitious writing, though, just falls flat. "Archaism is a dusty road leading us back to nowhere," from "They Do, They Don't," has to be one of the clunkier lines in recent memory, and building the lite-reggae number "Monsoon" around the phrase "mon-sooner or later" is unfortunate. Johnson also still has a weakness for Deep Stoner Thoughts such as "All of life is in one drop of the ocean."
If the words sometimes suffer from trying too hard, the music on Sleep Through the Static would benefit from being a little braver. Drummer Adam Topol is kept on what must be the tightest leash in rock, and though Gill's keyboards add a few nice, soulful splashes, you can almost feel Johnson and Plunier holding back. In song after song, solos and instrumental breaks arrive only after the singing is all done, extending the tranquility of the grooves rather than disrupting the motion of the ocean. Incorporating some of these unexpected elements — the weird little "woo-woo-woos" at the end of "If I Had Eyes," the guitar buzz that concludes "What You Thought You Needed" — into the bodies of the songs would have gone a long way toward adding the variety and contrast that's generally been lacking in Johnson's work.
Or maybe, in the end, Johnson is best when he's stripped down. The finest moments on Sleep Through the Static are the simplest, like the aching love song "Angel" or "Go On," a sweetly swaying meditation on his growing children. These songs are barely more than sketches, but they're completely realized, with a focus to the sound and a specificity to the lyrics that thelarger-themed numbers never quite attain.
Though Johnson has been keeping up with the headlines, it's clear that his heart is still in the things closest to home: his family and his environment. Sleep Through the Static marks a tentative step forward for this improbable superstar. We'll see if the album's well-intentioned worldliness turns out to be an experiment or if he pushes himself further the next time. Either way, like any surfer will tell you, if you want to ride the big ones, you can't be afraid of wiping out. Taken From : http://www.rollingstone.com

"Sleep Through The Static" lyrics
Trouble travels fast When you're specially designed for crash testing Or wearing wool sunglasses in the afternoon Come on and tell us what you're trying to prove
Because it's a battle when you dabble in war You store it up, unleash it, then you piece it together Whether the storm drain running rampant just stamp it And send it to somebody who's pretending to care
Just cash in your blanks for little toy tanks Learn how to use them, then abuse them and choose them Over conversations relationships are overrated "I hated everyone" said the sun
And so I will cook all your books You're too good looking and mistooken You could watch it instead From the comfort of your burning beds ...Or you can sleep through the static
Who needs sleep when we've got love? Who needs keys when we've got clubs? Who needs please when we've got guns? Who needs peace when we've gone above But beyond where we should have gone? We went beyond where we should have gone
Stuck between channels my thoughts all quit I thought about them too much, allowed them to touch The feelings that rained down on the plains all dried and cracked Waiting for things that never came
Shock and awful thing to make somebody think That they have to choose pushing for peace supporting the troops And either you're weak or you'll use brut force-feed the truth The truth is we say not as we do
We say anytime, anywhere, just show your teeth and strike the fear Of god wears camouflage, cries at night and drives a dodge Pick up the beat and stop hogging the feast That's no way to treat an enemy
Well mighty mighty appetite We just eat 'em up and keep on driving Freedom can be freezing take a picture from the pretty side Mind your manners wave your banners What a wonderful world that this angle can see
But who needs to see what we've done? Who needs please when we've got guns? Who needs keys when we've got clubs? Who needs peace when we've gone above But beyond where we should have gone? Beyond where we should have gone We went beyond where we should have gone Beyond where we should have gone
Blizzard Entertainment® announces highly anticipated sequel at 2008 Worldwide Invitational in Paris
PARIS, France - June 28, 2008 - Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today revealed Diablo® III, the newest entry in its critically acclaimed action role-playing-game franchise. The announcement was made during the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment® Worldwide Invitational at the Porte de Versailles Convention Centre in Paris, France. A cinematic trailer and an extended gameplay demonstration with commentary from the development team introduced the game to the thousands of players in attendance.
"We've wanted to expand on the epic story and gameplay elements of the Diablo universe for some time now," stated Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We know that players have also been long awaiting a return to the series, so we're very excited to be sharing this announcement with Blizzard gamers here in Paris and around the world today." Diablo III will pick up the story twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the inhabitants of the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram. Playing as a hero from one of five distinct character classes, players will acquire powerful items, spells, and abilities as they explore new and familiar areas of Sanctuary and battle hordes of demons to safeguard the world from the horrors that have arisen. The first two characters classes -- the barbarian and the witch doctor -- were shown as part of the announcement at the event today in Paris.
Diablo III will feature a custom 3D-graphics engine to render lush indoor and outdoor areas of Sanctuary with a high level of detail and vivid special effects. The game's physics-enhanced environments will be interactive and destructible, offering traps and obstacles that create added danger for players and monsters alike. These elements, along with a new quest system and random scripted events, will be integrated into the game's random-level generator, giving Diablo III the ultimate combination of dynamic gameplay and replayability. Cooperative and competitive play will be available online through an upgraded version of Blizzard Entertainment's renowned online gaming service, Battle.net®.
Blizzard Entertainment is developing Diablo III for simultaneous release on the Windows® and Macintosh® PC platforms.
