Review Basshunter 'All I Ever Wanted'

Swedish DJ Basshunter scored an absolute smash earlier this year with his debut single 'Now You're Gone'. Five weeks at number one, 400,000 copies sold and the fifth most-viewed video of all time on YouTube are the sort of stats you'd expect from Coldplay or U2, not from some anonymous Eurodance knob-twiddler.

His success with 'Now You're Gone' looks set to be replicated with his second offering, a track which follows the same basic formula as its predecessor. Its euphoric chorus, beats-piled-on-top-of-beats, predictable synthy "swoosh" effects and inane lyrics about wanting "to make you mine" sound about as fresh as a crusty tramp's underpants, but they're bound to go down well in clubland. Uninspiring but effective, Basshunter's got another hit on his hands.
