LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Twilight" bad guy Cam Gigandet and Jena Malone are starring in the indie drama "Five Star Day."

The film is a journey of self-discovery about a guy (Gigandet) who loses everything and must come to terms with what's most important in life. Malone plays his girlfriend.

Will Yun Lee ("Bionic Woman") co-stars as the smart best friend and voice of reason to Gigandet's character. The project comes from writer/director Danny Buday.

Gigandet plays a merciless vampire in Summit's vampire romance "Twilight," which opens Friday. He also appears in "The Unborn," David Goyer's horror thriller, and recently wrapped "Pandorum" with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster. Malone was last seen in "The Ruins" and "Into the Wild."
